Blogger Calendar Archive Widget

::
My experiment to use the sidebar effectively continues. Although it is a bit heavy on the size (a few extra scripts), I have added Phydeaux3's calendar widget to the sidebar. What makes it different from his is the use of two separate archives, one for index and one for post pages.

The standard hierarchical archive loads on the main page as usual, with all posts visible, whereas individual posts will ship the calendar widget, one similar to the Wordpress' in functionality. I have not tested how it looks in Internet Explorer on a windows computer, but it looks O.K. in Firefox and Opera on Linux. I will check if it looks good in IE when I visit a friend using one. I have no way of knowing how the widget or page will render in Safari on Mac OS.

Update: I moved the widget to labels pages. Since I try a lot of things here, it is necessary to optimize JavaScript load.

  1. Good One. I would like to play with the script... Are you going to share it?

  2. It is Phydeaux3's, not mine. You can find the details and the script by checking the link in the article.
