Facilitate Cross-media Platforms

::
Today's fortune cookie is a reminder to all of us who are trying to run a business in the web. We often forget there are other media outlets where we can send our message across: radios, newspapers, magazines big and small, school boards, street poles, traffic lights, walls, city halls, malls, fanzines, etc. And some of them can be dirt cheap to advertise.

Facilitating cross-media platforms brings diversity and depth to your marketing campaign. Even for a recent blog that you started, it is advisable to consider alternate promotion schemes in addition to web-based solutions.

  1. That is a great idea, I have never thought about newspapers or radio before, has anyone here ever tried these methods for their sites?

  2. One of my friends did. He had a secondhand comic book store and a web site. He cut a deal with a local radio station with an audience of approximately 10K people. They advertised the comic web site for a week at a dirt cheap rate. It was a huge success.
